We were recently asked by Ginger Agency to produce a video as part of a client’s Kickstarter campaign. Competition for funding is fierce and using a video to support a funding campaign is a great way to add a personal element to your campaign and create more of an emotional connection with viewers, who are then more likely to support you. Video content can be easily viewed and shared across all social platforms, so is the perfect addition to any crowd funding campaign (not just Kickstarter!).
Ginger’s client Imray, the leading publisher of nautical information, recently developed a new and innovative digital platform for sailors that needed a boost of additional funding for further expansion and development.
We spent time working with Ginger to establish the messaging required in the video and to discuss and plan the day’s filming at Imray’s offices. The video needed to feature key members of the Imray team discussing their heritage and products, explaining more about the new digital platform and inviting customers to join and support them in the product development journey. We spent a day interviewing the team and capturing b-roll of their books, charts and the new platform before heading back to the editing suite to bring the story to life.
The finished video has been an integral part of Imray’s Kickstarter campaign, featuring on their social channels and on the dedicated Imray Kickstarter web page. You can view the video below.
