We recently enjoyed a long overdue trip to London to work as part of the crew for the Amber Rocks fundraising event.

Amber Rocks is a bi-annual event hosted by Formula 1 legend Eddie Jordan (and Amber Patron), with the aim of raising much-needed funds for the Amber Foundation charity. Amber supports vulnerable and disadvantaged young people to transform their own lives by helping them move out of homelessness and unemployment into bright secure futures.

Working with our client SalesTorque, we travelled to an Amber house prior to the event to film the facilities and interview the young people whose lives have been transformed by the charity. The footage captured was used to create a video for the event to be played out on large screens.

We also worked the day of the event as camera operators, filming the event as it happened, with the live shots being fed to the big screens either side of the stage. We were lucky enough to enjoy performances from opera singer David Webb and bands Mike and the Mechanics and the RPJ Band. An auction was held to raise funds, with some truly amazing money-can’t-buy prizes, including a one-to-one training session with Joe Wicks The Body Coach (also an Amber Patron) and week in the world’s best ski chalet!

It was a great night and a fantastic amount of money was raised for a worthwhile cause. We can’t wait till the next event!
